Another few minutes passed. A child rode past on her bike. When the child saw the girl she instantly bent down to see if she was OK. She dialled 000 when the girl did not respond to her question. The ambulance took her to the hospital so that they could care for her.
Later that night the child talked to her mum and dad about what happened and asked to go and visit the girl in hospital. The next day they went to the hospital and the mum and dada paid the girl’s medical bill.
The elder concluded, “Who acted like a neighbour to the girl?”
The man answered, “The one who showed pity.”
